REMAP Lothian, Fife and Forth is a branch of REMAP, a national charity that provides custom-made equipment and adaptations for people with a disability. Our branch of dedicated volunteers helps those with disabilities to overcome everyday challenges.
We cover all the towns and villages of Midlothian, and also a number of towns in East and West Lothian surrounding regions. Our group was formed in the early 1990’s as part of Remap Scotland. Remap Scotland has now been incorporated into REMAP and the Lothian, fife & Forth branch now functions as one of approximately 64 individual branches that make up REMAP.

What we do
We are here to help people with disabilities achieve their goals and attain a better quality of life, by providing custom-made equipment. We provide this service free of charge.
Our bespoke, custom-made equipment can help with mobility, managing personal care and enjoying sports and hobbies. All of our work is carried out and checked by expert engineers, carpenters, technicians and occupational therapists. Our skilled volunteers provide innovative, practical solutions to everyday challenges where this is nothing commercially available to support your needs.
If you would like to speak to a member of our branch before making a referral, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us using the details on this page.
We provide talks to various groups. To request a talk please contact our Secretary at lothian.secretary@remapgroups.org.uk

Volunteering
REMAP Lothian, Fife & Forth is a local branch of a great national charity. Our small group of dedicated people helps those with disabilities to overcome everyday challenges. We do this by adapting existing household fittings and appliances, or by making new equipment and devices that provide a complete solution.
Currently, we meet every 2 months at a community meeting room within Newhaven Church.
Our volunteers have a wide range of experience in devising and producing solutions to the problems that those with disabilities experience.
If you feel that you may have some skills that you could use to help with our work, and you have access to workshop tools for this. If you would like to have a chat with us about volunteering, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Support Us
Remap Lothian relies on donations to keep going. These pay for the materials and equipment we need to buy and cover the cost of getting around to see people.
Please help us with our work by making a donation. Cheques should be payable to Remap Lothian Reg Charity and sent to our Chairman at the following address:
Chris Morison, 22 Cumberland St, Edinburgh, Midlothian. EH3 6SA
You can contact a member of our branch to donate using the details listed above or make an online donation through the REMAP Website.
