What will I be doing?
Use your similar skills to support a vital charity which helps people with disabilities to live fuller and more independent lives.
You will do this by providing advice to our ingenious volunteers who design and custom-make pieces of equipment for disabled people. You will also help assess the needs of those people who self-refer. We only help where no existing product is commercially available. You will be joining a local group of equipment makers and others who all want to improve the lives of disabled people.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for practising occupational therapists or similar health professionals.
You will be committed to finding creative practical solutions to enable people with disabilities to achieve quality of life.
You will have a knowledge of existing commercially available equipment as the charity only makes bespoke equipment that is not currently available.
Practical considerations
You will need to work independently from home, to keep in touch with key members of the local group and/or attend group meetings. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
