Frame to hold one knitting needle in place to allow one handed knitting

The client only has the use of one arm and would like a solution to allow her to knit – this essentially requires a way to hold a knitting needle stationary and a way to hold the initial end of wool.

Extension for standing frame’s tray

The client is a child who uses the assistance of a paediatric standing frame (Leckey Horizon stander) at school – this is a frame designed to hold the user safely in an upright position.  The frame has a waist-level tray attachment allowing the client to do school work on this tray.  The arms by which the tray attaches to the stander are not sufficiently long, and a solution is required to allow the tray to be positioned further away.
