Aid to launching kites
John, a wheelchair user, has a large range of kites he flies regularly near his home. He has difficulty in obtaining enough lift from ground level to launch the kites from his wheelchair.
A folding tripod with telescopic height adjustable tube was constructed. The tube was fitted with an 180 degree adjustable friction device carrying detachable cradle options for triangular or box kites. The device was made from steel and aluminium and can be dismantled for transit.
John can now launch kites with a better success rate.
