Attachment of shopping trolley to wheelchair
The client’s special wheelchair could not be attached to supermarket disabled shopping trolleys, due to the angled front leg supports. A U- shaped bracket was made that attached to the existing leg support adjustment mountings and the uprights of the shopping trolley. The bracket could be fitted in less than 45 seconds.
Instead of relying on her husband, the client can now use the supermarket to shop at her own pace. She is completely independent in the choice of her purchases. Her comment, “I can now do my own shopping again” sums up the worth of this simple device.

I am looking for an attachment to connect a normal shopping trolley to a manuel whelechair, along the side, not in the front, as the ones in the supermarket are not allowed to be taken outside, so I can’t do other shopping and I am not allowed to take it to the carpark to load groceries in the taxi. I can’t hold the trolley and wheelchair as it swivels and wont go straight. Is there any solution, attachment or gadget I can connect the 2 alongside each other , so I can steer both at the same time, thank you.
