Barbie jeep

This ‘toy’ two seater jeep belongs to a three-year old who has a tracheotomy. It needs to be made suitable for her to use both indoors and outside. The existing controls are too coarse and also need adapting for joystick operation. Wheel adhesion is inadequate and rain protection is required for the occupant and the ventilator and battery that are to be housed on the second seat.

A new drive motor with electronic control of motoring and braking controlled by a joystick were fitted. Rubber tyres were made for the wheels and a rain canopy was designed and fitted.

The jeep is a great success!
