Chair raiser for swivel chair
Gary could not use his favourite swivel arm chair as it was too low and no raisers were avaliable.
The requirement was to raise the chair by approx 75mm
The solution
I made a platfrom to raise the chair base approx 75mm higher off the floor
The top and bottom are 9mm MDF and the eight spacers are 70mm x 45mm Pine
The top and bottom plates are glued and screwed to the spacers
The chair is fastened to the base with eight tie wraps through holes drilled in the base of the chair stand, this allows the chair still to swivel.
The benefit
Gary is able to sit once again in his favourite chair.

Hi, I very interested on your wooden circular platform for the Swedish swivel arm chair.
Hi Marguerite, please complete our referral form with a bit more information, so we can see if we’re able to help you with something similar: http://www.remap.org.uk/help
Thank you for putting this together, just made two of them to raise same style chairs for same reason.
Super stable but used nut and bolt instead of zip ties.
The chairs are really balanced they are not toppling.
No, not that we noticed. You could make the base larger if you were concerned of its stability.
Did the chair loose any stability with this solution? My 96YO father has the same issue. He has a difficult time standing and puts a lot of pressure on the chair arms when doing so. I was thinking about doing something similar, but am concerned that if he does not apply pressure in a perfectly balanced way, the chair will tip leading to injury.
