Footrest for chair

The client (paralysed down his left side) has difficulty in sitting upright in his reclinable easy chair and needs a foot rest to push against to stop him sliding down.

A sprung -loaded swinging foot rest was made to allow the client to push himself up in the chair. It needed to be retractable as when the chair leg rest was lowered there was only a small space between the bottom of the leg rest and the floor.

The client can now sit in his chair more comfortably and the footrest helps prevent him sliding down in his chair.
