help to get out of car
I needed some help in getting out of the car, a higher doorsill to push against.
The solution
I built this, mainly from wood and glue as it is a test to work out the correct heights. Once I got it to the right height I then lined the underside with thin rubber sheet to avoid scratching paint, and attached a thicker rubber sheet to the top to make it more comfortable to press on. Did consider 3d printing it, but I was not sure of the strength, looked at getting it printed online but it was going to be more expensive, so did it this way as a test.
The benefit
I can now get out of the car much easier without having to set the car seat higher, which would put it in the wrong place for driving.
