Lateral support for electric scooter
The posture of this electric scooter user has deteriorated and she now requires additional support on her left hand side.
The solution
The existing light weight left hand arm rest was replaced with a stronger one with additional padding. The armrest padding is made from a computer keyboard gel wrist rest. The client was unable to reach the armrest to lower it when required, so a handle was made of a loop of domestic electric cable (shown in the right hand picture) which proved to be flexible enough not to be a hazard but also rigid enough to support its own weight.

The client can maintain a safe posture in her scooter.
