One-handed walker
Client can only use one hand and needs a walker to move around. His present three-wheeled walker cannot be controlled or braked one-handed.
The three-wheeled walker was converted to four wheels to aid stability, a central control added at the hand rail with a brake operating on both rear wheels via an equaliser. The brake control is cam and lever operated to minimise braking efforts and can stay in the applied position to provide a parking brake.
The client can now use the walking aid with confidence and safety.
