Overhead book holderA disabled client wanted to be able to read her book when lying flat or sitting up in bed and her arms were too tired to hold her book up.

A wooden frame was made to hold any size book. Slots were cut in top and bottom sides to hold two clear plastic ‘slides’ which could be slid over to hold pages in place on both sides and enabling her to read through the slides. Slots were cut at various heights to accommodate any depth book.

The frame was attached to a tilting table, itself attached to the bed frame, to enable the client to read when sitting up at any angle or upside down when lying flat in bed.
