Pan handle holder
Following a stroke, Rose had the use of only one arm. When stirring the contents of a saucepan on her gas cooker, she was unable to stop the pan turning. A pan handle retainer was manufactured.
Cutting a longitudinal slot in a piece of aluminium tube enabled it to fit over a burner grate periphery. Notching the tube to align with one of the grate’s 4 pan support arms prevented its movement. Two vertical pan handle retention tubes, with ends shaped to fit the slotted tube, were secured to it with screws and nuts.
Rose can now stir things in her pans single-handed.
