Powered wheelchair lateral support
A lady with multiple sclerosis uses a powered wheelchair for indoor and outdoor mobility. She has a tendency to lean involuntarily to the left that restricts her independence when mobile.
An existing curved plywood chair back was cut to shape and fitted with fastening straps and attached to the wheelchair in a position that provided the required lateral support.
The lady now feels less dependent and has flexibility in choosing when to move around.
