Raise a reclining chair

The solution
The wooden frame was made to raise the chair by 4” and match the metal frame.
It was attached using four ‘U’ shaped brackets and enabled the reclining mechanism to operate as normal.
The benefit
The gentleman was now able to sit comfortably without his knees getting close to his chin.
