Recorder mounting bracket
An 11 year old boy, born without arms, is very keen to learn to play the recorder. He has developed a very high degree of dexterity with the use of his feet and toes.
A small wooden mounting was designed to firmly hold the instrument in place at an angle convenient to the client. The mounting sat on the floor and a suitable tube was attached to the instrument to permit the client to blow into it.
The client is very pleased with the set-up as he can sit in a chair normally whilst manipulating his feet and playing the instrument. He is now approaching his school music lessons with considerable enthusiasm.
