Sky remote grip
Sky provide an improved and more tactile remote control for people with disabilities. They also used to provide an additional grip for it, which our client had – but it had broken over time as shown in the photo below. Sky no longer supply the grip and our client asked if we could make a replacement.
The solution
Harrogate and Ripon Group engineer Dave White created a 3D printed replacement which fits precisely and securely onto the battery cover. It is printed in two parts and simply slots together.
The benefit
The control can be gripped securely, and also retrieved more easily with a grabber if it is dropped.
