Variable Pen Grip
Our client was a teenage girl who was unable to grip a pen due to her disability. The school she attended had a range of felt tip pens and paint brushes varying from 10mm diameter up to 45 mm diameter.
The solution
The device provided uses a tie wrap to grip the pen. A number of devices have been provided to the school and once the device is set for a particular range of diameters, the pen can be locked on or released by rotating the knurled knob. The device is secured to the hand with a Velcro strap.
The benefit
The result is that the client can now use a pen to draw independently.
