Wheelchair shooting table
To construct a rigid but foldable table adapted to shooting regulations for a lightweight manual wheelchair for a client with limited mobility who wished to enter Paralympic level competitions.
The solution
Fitting a special table to the clients wheelchair was considered but rejected because of the chairs lightweight construction and lack of rigidity. Instead a B&Q folding workbench was obtained as the base. This was widened so it fitted across the chair and a specially shaped top was made to fit and support the client’s elbows and locate the special (supplied) rifle support assembly.
Additional struts were fitted to increase rigidity.
Adjustable angled feet were fitted.
The benefit
Enabled the client to participate in competitions more effectively by improving support
