Remap celebrates Volunteers Week
The enormous contribution made by volunteers at Remap is being celebrated as part of Volunteers’ Week 2016, which runs from 1-12 June.
Volunteers are central to the work of countless charities and other organisations. Here at Remap, our 900 volunteers just love making things and use their skills to benefit others. Our army of ingenious inventors are put in touch with disabled people who can’t find the right equipment to help them in daily life. The result is over 3,000 gadgets and adaptations each year that help people achieve independence and quality of life, filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially.
People like sewing enthusiast Patricia are able to do the things they love doing with a little help from their friends at Remap. Read her story here.
So here’s a big “thank you” to all our volunteers; not just those who make things, but those who raise and count the money, organise the work and publicise what we do. You are all magnificent!
