Rosie’s Snowdon push

Rosie Tween was cycling to work one day three years ago when she collapsed. By the end of the day she’d been told that she’d suffered a spinal stroke and would probably never walk again. She’s had great support ever since from the charity BackUp, which helps people live life to the full after spinal cord injuries, so she’s enrolled in their ultimate fundraising challenge, the Snowdon Push. An all-woman team will push, pull and carry Rosie, in her wheelchair, all the way to the summit of Mount Snowdon – and back down again.

Rosie and team

Fred Harrison a volunteer with Remap Cambridge has been helping the team by adapting a special wheelchair for Rosie to use in the challenge. The new wheelchair, named Hillary, has been delivered and training begun. You can read more and support Rosie here
