Fundraiser
Our volunteers design and make pieces of equipment where no existing product is commercially available. Each year we help over 3.500 disabled people live more independent lives. Although our engineers give their time for free, our branches still need to raise small amounts of money each year to cover the cost of materials and travel expenses.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
As the Fundraiser for the Cleveland branch, you will be helping raise vital funds to support our work in your local area.
You will play a key role within the Cleveland REMAP management team, which will include attending team meetings and writing reports on potential fundraising ideas.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will identify funding opportunities and submit grant applications or plan fundraising events. This may include taking part in networking meetings that will enable the local funding landscape to be understood and from that develop a strategy and draft applications.
Specific experience in fundraising would be useful but is not essential. More important are good communications skills (written and verbal), the ability to build relationships with potential funders or donors, and an enthusiasm for our work.
PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS
All members of Cleveland REMAP must have DBS clearance and must be 18+. The post will require working from home with the usual computer facilities and skills associated with Microsoft Office.
There are no specified working hours. The fundraiser may devote as many hours as are available and necessary to achieve objectives.
