A New Season Through David’s Lens

A custom camera mount designed by a REMAP volunteer is helping David continue capturing beautiful photographs of the birds in his garden.

Last year, one of our dedicated volunteers designed and built a custom camera mount for our client David King, a talented photographer. The mount allows David to securely attach his camera to his wheelchair, making it far more comfortable for him to photograph the wildlife he loves.

At the time, David shared how much the support meant to him:

“I am delighted with the help that I have received from REMAP. As a keen photographer, I am now able to bolt my camera to my wheelchair in a manner which enables me to rest my elbows whilst waiting to take photos of garden birds. This will come into its own during the nesting season next spring. The person who did the work was extremely kind and helpful and took the time and effort to visit me at home three times to ensure that everything would fit and work correctly.”

Now that spring has returned, David has been putting the mount to good use. He recently sent us an update along with some stunning photographs taken from his garden.

“We have got to that magical time of year again when the birds are busy singing and building nests. I just thought that you might like to see these photos I took this morning using the wonderful camera mount on my wheelchair that you made for me last year. Thank you for enabling me to take photos in the garden!”
