This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating our community of volunteers who help disabled people achieve greater independence and a better quality of life.

From creating custom-made equipment to finding practical solutions for everyday challenges, our volunteers bring expertise and creativity to every project. Their commitment helps people live life with fewer barriers.

A Year of Impact: How We Made a Difference in 2025-26

Behind every number is a person whose daily life has been improved by REMAP volunteers. Whether it’s helping someone move more freely, take part in everyday activities, or feel more confident and independent, the impact reaches far beyond the statistics.

Together, our volunteers contributed 49,585 hours of their time over the past year, supporting 3,244 referrals and helping people overcome challenges that standard solutions could not address.

As we mark Volunteers’ Week, we want to thank every volunteer—past, present, and future—for the skill, dedication, and generosity they bring to REMAP. Your efforts continue to make independence possible for thousands of disabled people across the UK.
