Mya’s Splash of possibility!

Diane explains how REMAP are helping her daughter, Mya, reach her full potential as a water-skier.

It’s been amazing to link up with REMAP.

My daughter has a limb difference on her right arm and she started waterskiing a few summer’s ago using an adapted handle. The handle she used was very heavy and has what we believe held her back from her full potential.

REMAP linked us up with a local engineer to redesign the handle, which gave my daughter new hope that there could be something made to improve her comfort and performance in her waterskiing.

Tom from REMAP was absolutely fantastic to work with on this project. He took the time to understand exactly what was needed and worked tirelessly to design and build a completely new water-ski handle for my daughter. Her previous handle was far too heavy, making it difficult for her to ski comfortably due to her limb difference.

Tom’s expertise and attention to detail meant he was able to create a new handle that is much lighter and improving the overall design, giving Mya a much better chance to improve her performance on the water. Throughout the entire process, he was always communicative, supportive, and genuinely invested in making sure the final product was exactly right.

We can’t wait to test it out properly once the water-skiing season starts, and we’re hopeful this new design will make a huge difference to my daughter. We’re incredibly grateful for Tom’s skill, patience, and dedication—he’s been amazing!
