Team REMAP at the Great North Run!

This weekend, thousands of runners laced up their trainers and took to the streets of Newcastle for the iconic Great North Run. As part of Team REMAP, Danny Rees and David McCaffrey did us immensely proud by running among them.

By running for Team REMAP, Danny and David have supported us through fundraising, and every pound raised makes such a difference to the work we do making and adapting equipment to improve the lives of disabled people.

David said of the day that is was a ‘great run and great atmosphere’, which we think is reflected in the photos they’ve sent of them celebrating with their medals at the finish line!

It even turns out these two runners bumped into each other mid-run! Danny says:

‘I passed another guy from REMAP during the race, spotted his REMAP vest. It was a very brief exchange, I caught up to him and patted him on the back, then pointed to my vest whilst gasping “RE…MAP”.

He just looked very confused, then about 2mins later I just heard someone behind me shout “OH! REMAP!”’

Their hard work training, running and fundraising are greatly appreciated by us all, and we want to say a huge well done to Danny, David and all of Team REMAP – we’re so thankful to you!
