Child’s Parallel Bars
The client has CP and needs help to gain confidence to walk without his wheeled walker.
The solution
The parallel bars were made based on the dimensions of the commercially available units which were too expensive for the client.
The fabrication is simple glue and screw and can be undertaken by anyone with moderate wood working skills. Plans can be shared if requested.
The benefit
The client is an enthusiastic user and took to the bars immediately. He is also using them on slopes.
He was delighted.
