Swimming goggle offset

A young boy has a condition called Plagiocephaly which affects the shape of the skull, such that the boy’s face and eye socket is set further back on one side. He enjoys swimming but his goggles wouldn’t seal properly due to this condition.

The solution

Engineer Mike Johnson obtained a set of swimming goggles with a more traditional soft bridge strap, and then 3D printed a small adjusting block to alter how the goggles fitted on the young boys’s face, such that they would seal properly.

The benefit

He can now enjoy his swimming!
