Hollie’s Custom Medical Trolley

Hollie, who has complex medical needs, shares how two of our volunteers designed a custom solution to help her manage vital equipment and medications more easily—after years of searching revealed no suitable alternatives on the market.

I had spent years trying to find some alternatives to the two main pieces of medical equipment I use – a pump stand to wheel around my artificial nutrition equipment, and a trolley with drawers and a surface suitable for preparing all my medication – as they were becoming more and more unsuitable for the tasks. However, I could find nothing that would work.

I came across REMAP in a Motability magazine and was quite amazed that there were people who did this.

After some initial communication, I met my team, Graham, a retired engineer and Vernon, a retired doctor – the perfect pairing! They were very friendly and we got on well.

Graham and Vernon took the time to understand what I was needing and asked the right questions to help with this.

I was able to be as involved as I wanted in the process, which has meant that they are fully tailored to my individual needs.

I am thrilled with the two pieces of equipment and am so thankful to REMAP and the team.
