Kerry’s Powerchair Table Attachment

Kerry, an Assistant Social Worker and a powerchair user, gives her feedback about her experience of REMAP.

Kerry reached out to REMAP for assistance in finding a table attachment for her powerchair that would allow her to use a laptop, carry items, and eat comfortably. Despite her efforts to find a suitable solution, she was unable to find a product on the market that would work with her specific chair controls. Kerry says:

“A lovely volunteer named Chris made me this fab table to help me with my work laptop. I already had the tray from a broken laptop table, but he added some wooden attachments to my chair so that I can slot the table in when I need it.

“The added bonus is I have been paying for a cruise every month for the last two years for my 50th birthday this year – now, I’ll be able to carry my own food and drinks! I can’t thank Chris from REMAP enough.

“I have nothing but positive things to say. It was a really simple process from start to finish (well for me anyway, Chris did all the hard work!)”
