Remap’s Superheroes prepare for their big adventure

In just a few weeks’ time, Remap will have their very own superheroes taking part in a unique fundraising challenge.

We have three participants taking part in the Superhero Series Triathlon and all of them have close links to Remap.

Danielle Broad received support from our London West group. You can read her story here
Danielle is taking part in both the swimming and push/run part of the challenge, swimming 400m unaided before finishing with a 2.5km push/run. She will be joined by her teammate, Will Henson. Will is one of our volunteer engineers from our Southampton group! He also happens to be the younger brother of our recent AGM guest speaker, Dave Henson! He is taking part in a 10km cycle around the beautiful Dorney Lake.

We also have another Remap beneficiary taking part in the triathlon, this time as a lone competitor. Ian Wood received support from our York group; his Remap designed vision system won this year’s Wolff award. You can read about his vision system here.

As a visually impaired participant, he will be supported by his guide Sara. They will undertake a 400m swim, 10k bike ride before finishing with a 2.5km run.

All three are aiming to raise funds for Remap in order to enable us to continue to support the disabled community. If you wish to donate to their challenges please visit their individual links below.
