Thank You to Our Board of Trustees!
It’s Trustees’ Week! The time of year when we celebrate the amazing contribution made by trustees and recognise the difference they make.
We were delighted to meet our wonderful trustees at an away day recently and, as part of our celebrations, we want to shine the spotlight on two of them.
Dayna Ferdinandi
Dayna started her career in the corporate world before she moved to the charity sector where, over the last 15 years, she has worked with some amazing charities in a variety of communications roles.
One of Dayna’s core beliefs is that charity should be all about people. She got involved in the sector to help others, through fundraising and raising awareness. Through working for a disability charity herself, she sees how important an organisation like REMAP is to the community and is delighted to be able to support us as a Trustee.
We are enormously grateful for Dayna’s commitment and for all she does for us in her role as Vice Chair!
Liz Myers
Liz has had a long involvement with REMAP. Her father set up REMAP Scotland as an independent charity and raised the funds to maintain it, while functioning as the National Organiser. After Liz joined the trustee board, (alongside her husband Steve), it became clear to her that the future of REMAP Scotland would be best assured by merging as a single UK-wide charity and, as Chair, Liz was responsible for leading that transition.
Her professional background is in healthcare and, over the course of her career, she has held various senior roles including serving as a Nurse Advisor to the NHS Scotland Policy Board and as a Chair of the Scottish Nurse Midwife and Allied Health Professional Consultant Council.
Liz retired from the NHS in 2016 and is currently self-employed, whilst also generously dedicating time to support REMAP’s mission.
To Dayna, Liz and all of our incredible trustees, we want to say thank you for the time, commitment, and effort you bring to REMAP to help us thrive.
