The People Making Things Possible – Farhiya

Meet Farhiya, a dedicated student who will soon be taking the next step in her academic journey, pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. But before she embarks on this exciting new chapter, Farhiya has been making a difference right here, as a volunteer with REMAP.

As part of Student Volunteering Week, we caught up with Farhiya to learn about her experience.

“I’ve been volunteering with REMAP for about a year, and was inspired by their incredible, life-changing products. Seeing the impact REMAP have on people’s lives made me want to get involved. Since joining, I’ve loved meeting the engineers and passionate individuals who make REMAP so special.

I’ve expanded my research skills, learned a ton, and been truly inspired by the engineers’ creativity and dedication. It’s amazing to see how innovative solutions can change lives.

In terms of managing the workload with my student life, I’ve found it to be both easy and enjoyable! It’s incredibly flexible and manageable, and I really appreciate how there’s always a professional available for support, feedback, and any questions I may have.

I would absolutely recommend volunteering for REMAP to others! It’s a chance to be part of something meaningful, work with talented people, and make a real difference. Whether you’re an engineer, researcher, or just want to help, REMAP is an incredible community to join.

I want to help REMAP grow so more people know about its amazing work. The more awareness we create, the more lives we can change—I’d love to see even more volunteers get involved.”
