Double bass trolley

Double Bass trolleyThe client has Patello Femoral Syndrome which affects the knees and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (trapping of the arteries leading to the arms as they pass the shoulder blade) makes difficult and painful to carry her double bass with its shoulders straps. As a postgraduate music student, she needed a method of transporting her instrument between college, concert venues and her lodgings.

A light weight dismantleable trolley was made from a recycled Zimmer frame and 300mm buggy wheels. The bass is fixed in place with elasticated straps and the neck of the instrument acts as the handle.

The client can now attend classes and recitals with ease.
