bespoke kitchen step
This client required a bespoke step so they could reach the kitchen work surface and help to cook with family members.
The Challenge
The client wanted to help in the kitchen and learn to cook.
Restricted reach meant they were unable to reach the kitchen surface.
Commercial items were not available.
The solution
A bespoke step was made so the client could get to the kitchen work surface and help to cook with family members.
The step has a pull out half-size step to allow the client to access the higher step which also adds stability. The step has brake wheels for easy location near the work-surface, and side rails prevent the client from falling sideways.
The client was very happy with the solution as it was compact and it could be easily moved out of the way and stored in a corner.
The benefit
The client can now access the work surface to help with kitchen chores and learn to cook with other family members.
