Door stop aidThis wheelchair user, a lower limb amputee with limited use of upper limbs, was having considerable difficulty negotiating his wheelchair through a particular door. The client’s movements were studied and a door stop designed to meet his exact requirements with regard to weight, overall dimensions and ease of lifting.

The client can now negotiate his wheelchair through the door comfortably without depending on assistance from others. His freedom of movement is significantly increased.
