The solution
The solution was to make a plastic ring from standard rain water down-pipe joining socket to fit over the knob, and six upright lugs to turn the knob were made from an ‘Aquaflow’ square down-pipe clip; the whole assembly was glued together with a plastic bonding solvent. Three self-tapping screws were used to fix the ring assembly to the shower control knob.
The benefit
The client can now control her shower.
