Objects to explain spinal injury required

Please reply to Ella if you have any ideas
My name is Ella Provan and I work for Back Up, a charity supporting people affected by spinal cord injury. I lead on the schools inclusion service supporting children and young people returning to school after a spinal cord injury. It is my role to support children/young people, their family and school to ensure that they are fully included in every aspect of their education.
We have a team of volunteers who are available to visit schools to offer support. One service we offer is to deliver a presentation about spinal cord injury to help raise awareness and understanding.
A few of our volunteers have suggested that with younger children it would be helpful to have some kind of object to take along, to explain how damage to the spinal cord affects things like movement and feeling.
I was wondering whether you have any ideas about something that you could create to help us in our service?
Best wishes,
Ella
