Oxygen cylinder bracket for wheelchair
The client needs oxygen but there was no current means of support, on the wheelchair, for a small (100 mm diameter) oxygen cylinder and a bag of associated medical equipment.
The solution
An aluminium plate (610 x 150 x 6 mm) was shaped and bolted to the underside of the wheelchair using existing 8 mm bolts present in the chassis. The plate protrudes from the side of the chair and has a support bolted under it to hold the cylinder in place.
Two clamps have been made with pegs, between which the bag may be hung. The clamps are attached to the framework at the rear of the chair.
The benefit
The client now has her medical equipment to hand.
