Car passenger protection
Our client has severe learning disabilities and lives in a managed care home. Care workers regularly take our client into the community in her own vehicle, which is driven by one of the care workers with a second care worker travelling in the front passenger seat. When travelling, our client has a tendency to grab for the front passengers hair, causing a significant distraction to the driver.
Remap engineer Jon Leigh needed to create a way of safely and comfortably separating our client from the front passenger and driver. A bespoke solution was required to replace the unsafe, uncomfortable and degrading dog guard currently being used.
The solution
A template was created to produce a bespoke polycarbonate panel to safely and comfortably separate the front and rear passengers.
The benefit
The driver and front and rear passengers can now all travel safely to visit the local community, improving not only the safety of our clients car travel but also the overall quality of life.
