Elbow support for woodworker
This active woodworker, having a right-handed spinal disability, needed support for his right elbow to remove shoulder drop when working machines in his workshop.
The solution was to construct a “crutch” consisting of a “gutter run outlet” padded with foam, fixed to a broomstick which pivoted into a small cup inset into the floor for support.
The client was able to resume his hobby in safety without shoulder pain and with the approval of his wife and supervising occupational therapist.
