Exercise bike leg support
The client had been recommended to build up his leg muscles following a stroke using a recumbent exercise bike. The problem was that his left leg tended to move outwards as he was using the bike. We were asked for a means of preventing this.
The solution
A support arm was made that attached to the pedal and had a Velcro strap below the client’s knee. The support was originally on the inside of the pedal which proved unsatisfactory, so it was changed to the outside which worked.
The benefit
The client could now operate the exercise bike in the correct posture and was pleased with the solution.
