Wheelchair cup holder

Tracy needs a cupholder that clips onto the front of her wheelchair armrest, not on the side where it gets broken. The wheelchair manufacturer does not offer this option.

The solution

A simple bracket was made that slips into the front of the armrest using the same fixing as her table. It is even strong enough to hold a full bottle of wine.

The benefit

Tracy can now whizz around without spilling a drop. As she says: “[my wheelchair] Bob has an awesome cup holder now that has been custom made for him by a wonderful volunteer at a charity called Remap. The cup holder is epic – it attaches facing forwards from the front of the arm. It’s made of steel so it’s damn near indestructible and looks fantastic.”

Katherine, it is not clear what you are asking. If you would like one to be made for you, you should contact your local Remap group: https://www.remap.org.uk/contact-remap/ . But bear in mind that suitable commercial ones may be available for your chair and Remap does not make what is commercially available: https://www.remap.org.uk/can-we-help-you/ , so please check first.
