Cello bow grip
A keen amateur cellist has arthritis in her hands. The problem was to devise a tool which enables her to hold the bow easily.
Two fastenings were made from polymorph plastic. One was fastened to the little finger of a glove and the other to its first finger. The first was in the form of a tube which slid over the adjuster of the bow, the second was ‘C’ shaped and clipped onto the bow itself. The player’s thumb retains the bow in the C clip. The added weight is negligible.
The client can now play her cello comfortably.
