Oxygen cylinder carrier for wheelchair
The client relies on bottled oxygen. When taken outdoors in her wheelchair she had to securely hold the oxygen cylinder between her legs, resting it on the foot plates of the wheelchair.
Two support brackets are held in place on the wheelchair tubulars by lock screws. The brackets do not interfere with the folding of the wheelchair. The oxygen cylinder is carried on an aluminium plate & located by a cage structure welded to the plate. The complete plate/cylinder assembly is located on the support brackets and locked in place by thumb screws. The assembly can be removed and replaced quickly and easily. No permanent modification is made to the wheelchair.
The client can have trips out in her wheelchair in comfort, knowing the oxygen cylinder is secured to the wheelchair.
