Tray rollator arm supports
Margaret is blind and has a “combination trolley walker” on which she keeps the things she needs on a daily basis to hand, but it had conventional rollator handles that didn’t provide the level of support and stability she needed when walking around the house.
Margaret had tried a zimmer frame with forearm supports as an alternative but it didn’t meet Margaret’s particular requirements.
The solution
Brian Wood, a volunteer with Remap Harrogate and Ripon, incorporated a pair of forearm supports from the same type of zimmer, into two new bespoke handles for the walker.
The benefit
Margaret’s daughter Judith commented “We are so thrilled with the modified walker and Brian did such a good job. Mum’s walking and posture have improved already and she’s getting used to the new brake arrangements. Thank you so much for your help and expertise”.
