Treadmill adaptation for boy with cerebral palsy

This was for a 4 year old boy who needed to use a treadmill to help him develop his leg muscles.  He couldn’t reach the handrails so a lower set needed to be attached to the original hand rails.

The solution

The handles on the treadmill were too high so the engineer designed  another with the right height for the boy.  The handle can be adjusted as the boy grows.

The benefit

May help the child  to use the treadmill to improve his balance, walking gait and distance travelled.
