Night time toileting
In a similar vein to a previous project https://remap.org.uk/solutions/urine-bottle-night-time-emptying/ this is a full solution to the problem of clients with severely reduced dexterity/movement, and night-time toileting.
Conventional urine bottles, and this type of commercially available urine container were both unsuitable for our client who is profoundly disabled but has some limited movement.
The solution
Our client can hold a conventional urine bottle but it needs to be emptied after use. So, a hose was attached to the base of the bottle using plumbing fittings and the bottle empties down into a bucket under the bed with both a pouring lip, and a hinged lid which was sourced for the purpose. The bucket is mounted in a heavy timber stand so there is no possibility of it being knocked or pulled over. The stand was finished with varnish to provide a wipe clean finish.

There is far less risk of spillage.
